Why a clean slug matters
The slug is the readable part of a URL after your domain name. A short, descriptive and keyword-rich slug helps search engines understand the page, improves click-through rates in the results and is easy to share. URLs stuffed with numbers, capital letters or special characters look untrustworthy and dilute relevance.
This generator applies best practices automatically: everything in lowercase, spaces become hyphens, accents are transliterated, Swedish characters are handled correctly (å and ä become a, ö becomes o, é becomes e), special characters are removed and repeated hyphens are collapsed. Turn on stop-word removal for even tighter URLs when it suits you.
